Villanova, Pennsylvania
The Mendel Science Center at Villanova University was constructed in 2 phases: a new science lab addition, and complete renovation of the existing science building, Mendel Hall.
The addition houses teaching laboratories for courses in biology, chemistry, and physics, as well as computer classrooms for mathematics and computer science. Mendel Hall contains teaching and research laboratories, classrooms, and faculty offices for astronomy, biology, chemistry, computer science, mathematics, physics, and the University's information technology departments.
The addition is constructed of a poured-in-place frame with stone veneer; Mendel Hall received all new windows.
