Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Philadelphia University, founded in 1884, is a private university with 3,300 full- and part-time students. Located just within the city limits, the campus consists of 50 unique buildings on 100 park-like acres. The new 150-bed, 50,000-square-foot dormitory will be in the center of the sylvan campus. Built on a hillside, part of the building will be three stories and part four stories high. In a strategic design/build partnership with the architect, Daniel J. Keating Company is completing the structure on a fast-track schedule on time within a crowded site. When complete, the new residence hall will provide an outstanding amenity to Philadelphia University’s student body, while also reflecting the University’s commitment to LEED-certified construction.
